Become a Parish Councillor

The Parish Council currently has four vacancies and is inviting applications from residents who would like to get involved in local decision-making.

Parish councillors represent the community, consider planning applications, help manage local services and projects, and work to improve the area for residents.

You do not need any previous experience. Support and guidance will be provided.

Who can apply
You must be at least 18 years old and meet one of the following:

  • Registered as a local government elector for the parish, or
  • Have lived, worked, or owned property in the parish (or within 3 miles) for at least 12 months

Time commitment
The Council meets approximately every 6 weeks, with additional involvement depending on your interest and availability.

Applications may be considered as they are received, and the Council may co-opt to fill vacancies at any suitable meeting. The process will remain open until all vacancies are filled.
